LATEST SAMPLES & THE 2024 CHALLENGE!

I only photographed 67 samples in 2023 that was a major drop from last year. Sandfest was a huge sample contributor for the last year. My thanks to all of the great people who contributed samples this year. My goal this year is to keep on doing this. The old site is still very much there. Please visit it, but also help me add to the new. If you have sand to contribute, please consider sharing it with me. If you want it returned - no problem! Clear Skies!

THE STORY SO FAR - Week of May 13, 2024 - The almost daily walks to Black Rock Beach in Cohasset, Massachusetts have begun. Samples will be added to the Black Rock Beach Page. I also have brought back "ROCK OF THE WEEK." Hopefully I will add at least one unique sample each week. Watch this space!

ROCK OF THE WEEK

This sample has many questions? Is it deimentary? My answer is yes because of the perfect lines. What are the white dots? I assume they are quartz crystals. Why the pefect alignment in one area and random distribution everywhere else?

The shape of the imperfection made me pick this up. Looks like a heart!
